FitSlice Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
FitSlice ("FitSlice," "we," "us") makes a mobile app that turns your daily activity into a playful count of pizza slices "earned." This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Contact: jason@smbaisolutions.ai.
1. Health and fitness data
- What we read: With your permission, FitSlice reads only two data types from Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android): active energy burned and step count.
- Read-only: FitSlice never writes to, edits, or deletes anything in Apple Health or Health Connect.
- How we use it: Only to calculate and show your slices earned, progress, and history inside the app.
- Where it lives: Health data is processed on your device. If you create an account, we may store small daily totals (for example, "420 active calories, 6,100 steps on Oct 15") so your history syncs. We do not store minute-by-minute health records.
- We never sell or share health data. We do not sell, rent, or share HealthKit or Health Connect data with third parties, including advertisers, data brokers, or pizzerias.
- No advertising use. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or ad targeting, and is never used to decide which pizzerias you see.
- You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access, or in Health Connect settings on Android.
2. Location
- FitSlice asks for location only while the app is in use to show nearby pizzerias and distances. We do not track location in the background.
- We do not store your precise location history. Pizzerias never see your location.
- You can decline or turn off location; you can still browse the shop list.
3. Account and other information
- Account info (optional): email address and age range (for example, under 18 or 18+).
- Pizza preferences: the pizza type you pick, used to calculate slices.
- Usage data: basic, aggregated app events such as "viewed a pizzeria," "tapped directions," or "tapped call." We share aggregated, non-identifying counts with listed pizzerias (for example, "42 people viewed your listing this week"). We never share who you are.
- Waitlist: if you join our website waitlist, we keep your email only to tell you about FitSlice.
4. Pizzerias (merchant accounts)
If you claim a listing, we collect your business name, contact name, phone number (for verification by text message), listing details, and billing information when paid tiers launch. Payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor; we will not store full card numbers.
5. Service providers
We use trusted vendors (for example, hosting and database providers) to run FitSlice. They process data only on our instructions and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Health data is not shared with service providers except as needed to store your own daily totals securely.
6. Children and teens
- FitSlice is for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used FitSlice, contact us and we will delete the data.
- For users under 18, Neutral Mode is on by default: progress is shown as activity points instead of food rewards, and food-related prompts are reduced.
7. Data retention and deletion
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app (Settings > Delete my data) or by emailing jason@smbaisolutions.ai. We delete it from active systems within 30 days and from backups on their normal cycle.
- Uninstalling the app removes on-device data. Revoking Health access stops new reads immediately.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit and reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Email jason@smbaisolutions.ai and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes
We'll post updates here and notify you in the app for material changes.
